We call it Gan Dang!
In the old days, there are chinese educated and english educated in Singapore. The chinese educated call the english educated "jiak gan dang"

Ang Mo like to eat gan dang, and the chinese educated presume people who can speak well in english must have eaten lots of "gan dang" like the Ang Mo.

How do you know Ang Mo like to eat gan dang?

You see there is a term - Couch potato for over weight man who see too much television in US. (Wiki for Couch potato)

Imagine Jerry is at his middle age (say 35) and have been work hard for the bloody past 10 years. He has been thrifty and finally decided to buy himself car. Well, which road car do you recommend him to buy then?

Remember it needs to ROAD CAR so that he can afford and can drive to work.

Since I am a nearly 35 years old cheapskate, I would recommend him this.

What!!??

Yup, it is not macho nor sexy. It does not even have a roof, boot, or windscreen. It is just a pure bare bone as you may want to put it. However, it is a ROAD CAR, not a sport car. Why this car then? As I told you, I am just being cheapskate. :)

So how much does it cost then?

Well it cost less than £30,000 then. (SGD 100,000)
The cheapest version cost less than £20,000 (SGD 60,000).
SGD 500 per month * 12 months * 10 years = SGD 60,000.

Trip to Lincolnshires and Christmas Market

Two week ago I went to Lincolnshires and the Christmas Market. It is quite fun and it is the second time that I went there. There is not much changes with Lincolnshires. Here is more information from Wiki.

I found out more about this story - His Dark Materials. Little did I know that it is a trilogy, until the very end of part 1. The most interesting part for me is actually oxford which I have just went. Luckily it is not as long winded as "The Chronicles of Narnia" or "Harry Potter".

Here is the trilogy and name of the books.


I think the books will sell like hotcakes by now. On top of that there is a set of games for the movie. A total full packages sales!

Ah Ming's Theory 005 - Police, Soldier and Scientist

Do you know a police, a soldier and a scientist for the past 20 years?

All my older friends is turning up and I get to see them again!!! Recently just saw the police again (Back on July 07)(known for 19 years). Soon I am going to met up with the soldier soon (Next Month)(known for 26 years). As for the scientist, I probably I have wait a little longer to see him again (Coming May)(known for 27 years). I can't believed it is so long time ago.

More interestingly, the police is 52 years old. The soldier is 61 years old and the scientist is 65.

You might say: Woah! how come you make friend with these old people and one is older than the other.

In fact they are all not so average Jo even though they are all called Jo. Hence I was their friend for so long.

You might say: What are you saying, are you nuts?

Well, I am not nuts, and I think they too can be your very good friend too.


You must be wondering what a strange post this is. Yup! this is a strange post, for now.
